Sanctuary Lakes

Sanctuary Lakes

81cm x 81cm

Acrylic on Canvas

Ready to hang

For two years I have been mapping Melbourne and this one is inspired by Sanctuary Lakes, Point Cook. The colours were selected from visiting the location where I also took notes on shapes, textures and emotions. When I noticed the butterfly shapes on the aerial photography it was just asking to be painted.

The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.

The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.

Signed on the front.
