"Misaligned" delves into the disjointed and fragmented nature of memory, particularly influenced by Aphantasia. This work embodies the struggle to find coherence and unity among moments that remain suspended and isolated. Each form reaches for connection but falls short, symbolising the tension between the desire for clarity and the reality of fragmented recollection.
The crumpled and folded form embodies the tension of this revelation, reflecting the emotional weight of feeling fundamentally different. Each fold suggests a rupture, a space where something is missing, yet also holds the potential for new perspectives to emerge.
Through this work, I invite viewers to reflect on the unseen challenges that define us and the strength it takes to embrace our differences. Disparate serves as a quiet reminder that even in disarray, there is resilience and growth.
