December 2019 was my first overseas trip. This is my memory of the day we spent walking from Paddington to London. At the start of our day we wandered through Hyde Park. There was so much green grass and everything smelled fresh. It was a pleasant walk and this was the perfect way to pay homage to that perfect day. My first day in the UK and unfortunately may be my last for a long time to come.
The surface has a mixture of hard edge flat and textural sections. The small sections of gold leaf brings a little class and sparkle to the work.
The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.
The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.
Signed on the front and authenticated on the back.
