PETA TRANQUILLE 

Colour, in addition to a 30-year cartographic career, has always played an important role in my inspiration. These two elements have been opportunely blended, resulting in Melbourne in a way you’ve never seen before.

 

Urban Tropes is part of my ongoing project of mapping Melbourne. I utilise Google Maps to search for aerial photography of geographic locations, specifically those that display interesting shapes and designs. Such locations are polymerised with colour and precision to generate an abstract version of the chosen location.
