Mapping Melbourne is a project I am currently working on and the shapes of the Ikon Park entrance were irresistible. While in the location I wanted to take in all the atmosphere and history of the Carlton Blues AFL club. The dark blue on the piece has been painstakingly mixed to match Oxford Blue, the official colour of the Carlton Blues. With the colour playing a big part in the clubs history I chose to use a very minimal colour palette.
 
The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.
 
The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.
 
Signed on the front and authenticated on the back.
