Some colours stay with me.
They speak for things I’ve held onto — small favourites, quiet attachments — not seen, but known. There’s no image. No scene to revisit.
I live without mental pictures. That absence shapes everything.
In this work, colour takes the place of image. It carries memory, emotion, connection. The form appears measured, but parts are missing. Some spaces can’t be filled. Some meanings are hidden — not to be concealed, but because that’s where they exist. Along the sides. Out of view.
Memory in Colour reflects how remembering works for me: fragmentary, certain — not visual, but built from fact.
