The rectangular shape on the lower left on the canvas represents the large caravan the family were living in at the ninth location. The top part depicts beds on either side in autumn colours, as Peta remembers the beautiful autumn trees. The section below has a caravan stripe, the bridge where Peta’s Dad was working and on the wall is a toy train track which her Dad received for a birthday gift and they played with it on the kitchen table all day. The next section is the snow, as this was the first time the family had lived with snow. The green checked pattern, in the next section, is the school uniform and is continued into the road section, which in depicting the caravan park driveway. It is raised as inspiration came from a 3D map that Peta drew for the WA Lands Department in the late 90’s. The canvas is oriented with North at the top and stencilled on the side is the exact location of the house in the form of latitude and longitude coordinates.
