Mapping Melbourne is a project I am working and I have just completed the Orrong Road and Malvern Road intersection near the Toorak Train Station. At the intersection there is one area with trees and so I have painted the fallen leaves in that corner. To complete each map piece I visit the location and take in the colours, smells and shapes which I then depict on the finished piece.
 
The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.
 
The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.
