PETA TRANQUILLE 

Colour has long operated as a personal system within my practice. My palette consists of thirteen colours, each carrying its own associations, histories and remembered details. Black sits at its centre, representing darkness, absence and the experience of aphantasia.

This ongoing project examines each colour individually, bringing together personal memories with art, science, history, culture and the unexpected ways colour enters everyday life. The essays move between subjective experience and researched knowledge, creating an evolving archive of how colour is understood, used and remembered.
