This is the Central Station in Sydney. 
The Burgundy, maroon, dark red, is the location of the actual train tracks leading into each of the platforms. I have been to this station a few times and it reminded me of a rabbit warren, or at least what I assume it might be like. So many platforms and so many people 
 
The map is oriented to the North and approximately to scale.
 
The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.
