Acrylic on Canvas

Ready to hang

I am always fascinated at the patterns and shapes on the ground when flying.

When flying high above the sky the earth begins to resemble a patchwork quilt. The colours, the textures and shapes are all unique and this piece is centred over the intersection of Molesworth Road and Wattle Valley Road in Canterbury, Victoria. Many of the shapes have patterns, hand drawn with acrylic pens, to resemble those on fabric used in quilting.

The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.

The painting is continued around the sides of the canvas.

Signed on the front.
